Abstract

This work points out some problems concerning the teaching and the learning of the portuguese language in Brazil and it includes the analysis of texts related to the learning of writing and reading and other text written to the pupils of the 1st level. The difficulties are due to the educational politics and, consequently, to the philosophy of the teaching of the maternal language.

Possui Graduação em Letras pela UFRGS (1966), Mestrado em Letras pela UFRGS (1977) e Doutorado em Fonologia e Fonética - Universite de Paris III (Sorbonne-Nouvelle) (1996). Atualmente é professor Associado I- DE da UFSC.
