Ideologia e subjetividade: a mediação da educação no capitalismo globalizado

Abstract

This article demonstrates that subjectivity cannot be conceived
as being separated from the individual, although it is constituted underthe coercion of ideology whích does not allow an authentic subjective differentiation. Therefore, the subjective life of the individual is a rasult of psychic mediation of the objective coercion of the social world. At the current stage of capitalism, education plays the role dictated by ideology within the limits imposed to the individual, which legitimizes the pattems underwhich the individual shall constitute íts subjective life.

José Policarpo Júnior, Universidade Fedeal de Pernambuco - UFPE

Licenciatura em História pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1990), mestrado em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (1994) e doutorado em Educação: História, Política, Sociedade pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2001). Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco.
