“Como família”: relações sociais em centros comunitários

Resumo

O objetivo é analisar as relações sociais ressignificadas “como em família” em centros comunitários. O estudo é uma etnografia realizada em Paysandú, Uruguai, com 84 idosos que moram sozinhos e que participaram de entrevistas individuais e grupos focais. As narrativas foram analisadas por meio de análise de discurso, análise de metáforas e análise de conteúdo para identificar significados e práticas. Os resultados evidenciam um processo de ressignificação dos relacionamentos entre colegas em termos das relações familiares, cujo significado se fundamenta nos significados e práticas do sistema de parentesco consanguíneo. Essa ressignificação é realizada por mulheres idosas, mas não por homens idosos. Com base nos dados, a família continua sendo uma forte referência cultural entre essas mulheres idosas, o que lhes permite redefinir as relações entre estranhos em termos familiares.

Leticia Robles Silva, Universidad de Guadalajara

Possui doutorado em Ciências Sociais, membro do Sistema Nacional de Pesquisadores, México. A sua linha de investigação centra-se na família, no cuidado e no envelhecimento, particularmente nos aspectos culturais do cuidado e da família. É professora de metodologias qualitativas em cursos de pós-graduação no México, América Latina e Espanha.
