Abstract

This article debates the role of contemporary feminist publications in the Latin-American and, more specifically, Brazilian political and cultural context. To do so, it examines one specific Brazilian feminist journal, Revista Estudos Feministas, to reflect upon the meanings of being a feminist today. It understands feminism as a theoretical practice informing women’s daily activities and initiatives, as a hermeneutics and as a political location.
