A idéia de unidade na construção do conceito do número racional

This study wants to present an important particularity of the rational numbers concepts construction which remains still not incorporated by students even after its formal learning: the idea of unit. Based on the creation of the rational number, on the conceptions of Vygotsky and Vergnaud and on specific researches on fractions concept, the study identify difficulties of this students with the unit’s idea and intends to show possible causes of difficulties and associate them to the most current pedagogical practices while teaching this mathematical object.Downloads
