Learning Statistics At Esp-Bié. A Reflection From The Experience With The Mathematics Course Students

This article aims to present the results of the learning experiences acquired by students of the mathematics course at Bié Higher Pedagogical School, in the discipline of Statistics. The study is quantitative of the experimental type, as it describes an experience with 45 students in the second year of the mathematics teaching course, based on the work with data from everyday situations. The results of the pre-test and post-test show an increase in the students' level of knowledge after applying the strategy. As a result of the experience, there is a change in attitude and methodological focus in the statistical processing of data, as the problems required reflection on the types of data, its structure, as well as finding patterns that characterize its behavior, to later select the model that best fits the data, with a view to correct decision making.
