This article is a clipping of a monograph, which brings an approach about women babassu coconut breakers who fought for land, preservation of palm trees, free access to babassu, identity construction and voice in society. And this contributed to obtain different learning, from the claim of their rights and also, from the development of skills through extractivism, derivation of babassu coconut and sales of products, they developed the indirect learning of mathematics in their daily work. Based on this assumption, this work is based on the following question: how do the women Quebradeiras de coco babaçu of the Associação Extractivist de Timbiras, use mathematics in their daily lives? In this way, the objective is to understand how the women babassu coconut breakers of the Timbiras Extractive Association use mathematics in their daily lives, considering the experience of these women and the social context. As well as seeking to understand the use of Mathematics in the daily lives of women who break the babassu coconut in this Association and present how the use of mathematics occurs in the production and sale of babassu coconut products. For that, a bibliographic research was carried out with authors who deal with Ethnomathematics, such as D’Ambrósio (1998) and Knijnik (1996) and also, Oliveira (2019) who discusses the use of Mathematics by babassu coconut breakers. In addition, field research, observations, interviews and informal dialogues were carried out, which were recorded in recording and in a field diary. In this way, it was possible to understand that the women who break babassu coconuts from ASSEXTIM make use of Ethnomathematics.
