We and Gaia: in between mathematics educations of earthlings

In this essay, we create a problematization between two ideas: We and Gaia. From an (im)pertinent contagion with anthropologists from the so-called Anthropological Turn and with thinkers related to ecological issues, we produce a discursive material web to attempt other mathematics educations. Collectivities and belonging emerge as notions in a political-economic-ecological-pedagogical grammar that offers us movement in school territories. Condition of privilege and sense of urgency reverberate as crossings of these notions, both as a power of relationalities and as surveillance of their existence. Thus, in this narrative we weave some effects of ethics for and with the mathematics education of earthlings in a gaia school, a bet between We and Gaia.
