Editorial flow

The review process involves the following phases:

  1. Reception and Checklist

The editorial office classifies the manuscript according to the method used and applies the manuscript checklist, which includes verification of the entire documentation presented at the time of online submission. Non-compliant cases are returned to the corresponding author for adjustments.

  1. Pre-analysis

The objective of this stage is to evaluate the manuscript for its contribution to the body of knowledge regarding content, the advance it represents for the practice, teaching and/or research in Nursing and Health, the theoretical, methodological and structural quality of the text and the compliance with the journals editorial policy.

  1. Manuscript evaluation process

After being approved in the pre-analysis stage, the manuscript will be forwarded to an Associated Editor who monitors the evaluation process (blinded peer review), and issues his decision to the Editor-in-Chief.

All manuscripts selected for publication are analyzed by the Texto & Contexto Enfermagem librarian, who reviews all compliances with the journal's standards and references.

  1. Publication

4.1. Publication fee

After the manuscript final accept, the authors receive an e-mail with orientations to pay the publication fee and to provide the translated version.

4.2. Translation

Texto & Contexto Enfermagem presents a group of accredited translators, whose names are forwarded to the corresponding author. That author is responsible for selecting the translator responsible for providing the English translation of the final version. It is the authors responsibility to verify the quality of the translation. The translators are responsible for forwarding the translated version to the journal.

4.3. Text and Layout Review

After the journal has received the English version of the manuscript, properly verified by the authors, the text and layout editors review the text and forward it for editorial production and publication gradually through the continuous flow system.
