O humor na Tradução

Abstract

Este artigo tem como intuito mostrar ao tradutor as dificuldades em como traduzir o elemento humorístico do texto-fonte para a língua-alvo, uma vez que não se trata apenas de uma questão de transposição de significado, e sim de elementos culturais – como os aspectos sociolinguísticos de um determinado grupo – que estão envolvidos no processo. Além disso, são elencadas algumas teorias pertinentes à linguagem do humor e como o tradutor, enquanto mediador textual, lida com esses aspectos para torna-los cômicos como no texto-fonte.

Author Biographies

Jeroen Vandaele, Ghent University, Ghent

Jeroen Vandaele (PhD KULeuven, 2006) é membro efetivo da equipe acadêmica da Faculdade de Artes da Universidade de Gante (UGent). Ele trabalha na seção hispânica do Departamento de Tradução, Interpretação e Comunicação. De 2008 até 2017, Vandaele trabalhou na Universidade de Oslo (Noruega) como professor de espanhol. Sua pesquisa enfoca as interseções de tradução, ideologia, censura e comédia - com um interesse especial por filmes e ficção sob o franquismo. Um foco recente está na recepção e tradução franquistas de Henrik Ibsen. Vandaele é membro do conselho consultivo da revista Actio Nova (Universidade Autônoma de Madri) e da revista literária-linguística Alicantina de Estudios Ingleses (Universidade de Alicante).

Tiago Marques Luiz, Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, Uberlândia, Minas Gerais

Possui graduação em Letras Licenciatura/Habilitação Português/Inglês pela Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados (2009), especialização em Tradução de Inglês pela Universidade Gama Filho (2011) e Mestrado em Estudos da Tradução pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (2013). Atualmente cursa o doutorado em Letras/Estudos Literários na Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, com bolsa CAPES. Tem experiência na área de Letras e Lingüística, com ênfase em Tradução, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: estudos da tradução, revisão textual, semiótica greimasiana, tradução literária, tradução de humor, tradução numa perspectiva textual, literatura e outras artes (principalmente cinema e teatro)
