Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.-
I declare that I am the author, licensee or that I have been granted express written authorization by the rightsholder to reproduce the images found in the manuscript I am submitting for publication in the SciELO-indexed journal Cadernos de Tradução, ISSN 2175-7968, submitted through the UFSC Portal de Periódicos.
Where prior permission has not been obtained to reproduce the work of third parties, according to Brazilian law (Articles 24, 29 and 46 of the Lei brasileira de Direito Autorais), full responsibility for any copyright violation is assumed by the declarant -
The contribution is original, previously unpublished and not under consideration for publication by any other journal; if not, provide justification in “Comments for the Editor”.
- Submitted texts must be in MS Word and be no larger than 2 MB.

The text must be 1,5 spaced and in 12 pt. Times New Roman; location of figures/tables should be indicated in text
- The text must follow the style and bibliographic standards described in Instructions for Authors in the About the Journal section

In order to ensure blind peer review, the authors must remove any identifying tags in the MS Word file properties before submission, according to instructions available (peer review)
Articles
Article selection criteria include: originality, clarity and relevance within the field. Manuscripts presenting a critical analysis of subjects pertaining to Translation Studies are welcome. Articles should be up to 10,000 words.
Book Reviews
Translation Reviews
A text that comments on and analyzes a translated work, considering both textual and paratextual elements (cover, prefaces, editorial notes, translation notes, etc.). It is recommended to include information about the translator's profile. Translation reviews should be up to 8,000 words.
Translated Articles into Portuguese
Original translations of articles of fundamental importance to the field of Translation Studies are also welcome.

Authors hold the copyright and grant the journal the right for their articles' first publication, being their works simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), which allows the sharing of such works with its authorship acknowledged and its initial publication in this journal.
Authors are allowed to enter into separate additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or as a book chapter, with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal).
