The vast amount of data individuals currently handle makes knowledge of Statistics essential for educators in their pedagogical practice. It is crucial to elucidate the statistical education offered in Mathematics teacher education programs, as future teachers will address these topics in classrooms. This study aimed to outline the landscape in which mathematics teachers’ statistical education takes place through a bibliometric analysis of 731 articles from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. A descriptive analysis and correspondence factor analysis were conducted to identify clusters related to emerging themes. The results revealed four main groupings guiding research on teacher education: teacher professional development; educators’ statistical education; statistical literacy, reasoning, and thinking; and data literacy.
