Abstract
Esta Chamada é fruto da parceria estabelecida entre o Grupo de Trabalho de Modelagem Matemática da Sociedade Brasileira de Educação Matemática (GTMM/SBEM)1 e a ALEXANDRIA Revista de Educação em Ciência e Tecnologia2, com o propósito de fomentar o debate sobre a Modelagem Matemática na perspectiva da Educação Matemática e em Ciências. Este documento delineia uma chamada específica de artigos para um número especial
sobre Modelagem Matemática, a ser publicado pelo periódico ALEXANDRIA no segundo semestre de 2009.
