Abstract
The Art Journal of Brazilian Journal of Mental Health has been part of the journal since 2019. It is a cut of language within a scientific journal, allowing art to take its space with its intrinsic freedom. At first, we invited artists with experiences and works related to art and mental health to compose the notebooks. For the current special issue and for future issues, we have created a permanent call for submission of works by artists who conduct a dialogue with the objectives of Brazilian Journal of Mental Health through the use of formal presentations of iconographic, literary, poetic, audiovisual resources, between others. Thus, the magazine consistently provides opportunities for knowledge arising from practices that produce potency for lives in subjective diversities to be included, appreciated and learned.
The thematic issue "Successful experiences of care, services, programs and policies oriented towards recovery and actions that promote citizenship" , due to the success in answering the call, was divided into two volumes, in the first, the Caderno de Artes has two handcrafted works, 7 poems, 2 prints and 7 paintings. The second volume, the Art Journal presents 3 paintings, 1 poetry, 1 narrative and 2 short stories. The works come from different countries, organizations, institutions and different experiences, which guarantees the diversity of successful experiences in the universal language of art.
