Nowadays, Web catalogs in archives, libraries and museums systems are locked information resources which use their own technologies, interfaces and standards, which do not allow the navigation to occur from outside to the catalog and vice-versa. Linked Data technologies, which are a component of Semantic Web proposal, offer the possibility of interlink information resources through semantic links, thus providing users with a natural and intuitive way to navigate, independently from specific systems or interfaces. The objective of this article is to identify the potentiality of the Semantic Web technologies, in special Linked Data, in order to provide interoperability between catalogs in archives, libraries and museums. We use a qualitative methodology to achieve a state-of-the-art on the issue, using bibliographic research methods and visiting sites to collect data.Downloads
