Considering knowledge organization - KO as a cultural construct permeated by values which are located in space and in time, this paper discusses the nature and the characteristics of the discursive communities involved – the producers, the users, and the organizers/mediators – under a perspective of self-organization and through a dynamic helicoidal movement as an alternative for better understanding the KO processes, tools, and products.
