Social demonstration as a tendency to the olympic spectale of the planetary entertainment

This article focuses on the social demonstrations occurred during the Olympic Games from 1992 through the journalistic coverage by "Folha de S. Paulo". Making use of the content analysis, we found that, in general, the social demonstrations arise as a resistance response to the decisions of the state, it is related to the goal of the global city, a requirement of the COI to host and organize the Olympic spectacle of entertainment. And, in a private way, it is configured as opposed to social impacts that are involved in the daily day to the working class of the host country.
