Brazilian Physical Education is controversial regarding to its contents: while claiming for several possibilities of themes in one hand, we note that in another hand those which are present in daily lessons are portraits of the area in past decades. The study presents possibilities to include Martial Arts’ themes in Physical Education classes for students from the sixth grade in elementary school using games. We proposed a path with four learning situations in which we have sought to understand and experiment the conditional principles of Martial Arts and their classifications by type of contact and distance. Furthermore, this essay aims to break with some recurring paradigms, such as the issue of violence or the need to be an expert in Martial Arts to address them.Downloads
