Abstract

This study is a reflection on the pratice of a puppet theater in
elementary school, specially in the early grades, pointing out the Iimits and possibilities of the puppet as an element in the children's education. A contextualization was presented of the pratice of puppet theater in Brassil, over a period in wich were special gathering of brazilian puppet makers, dealing with this theme. There was also abrief commentary on the value of the material utilized in producing the puppets.
