The purpose of this article is to analyze the discourse about homosexuality produced by physical education students. To conduct the analysis a study was conducted with two groups of
students in the physical education certification course in 2004 – 2005. The study was conducted with a questionnaire with 23 questions that addressed factors referring to the education of
the students concerning discussions linked to sexual diversity, with greater emphasis on homosexuality. The discourse about sexuality, which also guides the homosexual experience, is
explicit in their statements, and can be used to verify in what way these students treat homosexuality, seeing how this discourse can come to affect the pedagogical practice in the school space, given that the Physical Education class is seen as an important place for the discussions linked to this issue.
