This article aims to portray the most decisive challenges put forward by Argentina’s Federal Law of Education concerning the training and the action of teachers. With this in mind, special attention will be paid to the social-cultural environment of these policies, which more than an external context are indeed the solid ground that makes possible the apprehension of the educational process and the school system.
