Resumo

Este artigo é baseado em um artigo apresentado no PME 8 em Sydney (1984) e palestras ministradas na Universidade Livre de Berlim (1984) e na Universidade da Geórgia, Atenas, USA (1985). O autor discute os Aspectos filosóficos e epistemológicos da Matemática e sua interação com a teoria e prática em Educação Matemática.
