Philosophical influences on Educating for Research in Mathematics

This theoretical paper proposes philosophical influences to the theoretical principle known as Educate the search. For this reason it is a relationship between the philosophy of Platão and Aristóteles, the philosophical currents of the middle ages, the philosophy of mathematics, trends in Mathematics Education and Teaching Models. The paper concludes that these philosophical foundations influence teacher practices in the classroom, that this influence is a historical process and the Educating for search is an evolutionary constructivist teaching model with roots in intuitionism and Aristotelian philosophy.
