Looking for the problem of developing geometric skills in teacher training courses, we ask how to define the use augmented reality (AR) can contribute, as a learning resource, to the development of geometric concepts in studies of a 6th grade class a Pedagogy course. Thus, this article, looking for the use of the GeometriAR application, allows responses of three-dimensional objects based on their plans. To analyze the contribution of this resource, can be characterize it as conceptual difficulties in the teaching learning processes of geometry, through the realization of a short course. A qualitative research was carried out, from a case study perspective, which used applied methodological instruments, recordings and questionnaires. The results indicate that the insertion of AR technology, allowed academics to reorganize or re-signify their geometric knowledge.
