The storyteller: a new profession?

It discusses the revival of the storyteller in his/her contemporary configuration, from the last decades of the 20th century. It shows what has been happening, mainly in Florianópolis city, Brazil, in relation to this movement. It presents the basic characteristics of his/her work and commits it self to analyzing if this new job fits in the definitions of “professions” displayed by some scholars of the sociology of professions.Downloads
