About the Journal

Estudos em Jornalismo e Mídia is a scientific journal of the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Jornalismo at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina.

Its main objective is to disseminate research works that promote reflection on journalism and its relationships with society, the market, and academia.

The journal is published exclusively online, with open and free access to the full text, and does not charge publication fees. It is classified as A2 in Qualis Periódicos (2021–2024) in the field of Communication and Information.
