Teaching to prioritize meaningful experiences in Physical Education: an experience report

Abstract

The present study aims to report the experience lived in a teaching unit whose purpose was to teach students to prioritize meaningful experiences through Physical Education. A descriptive study was carried out, in the form of an experience report, by a teacher during a teaching unit in a discipline of the undergraduate course in Physical Education. To guide the planning, intervention and evaluation of the unit, I used the proposal called Learning a Meaningful Physical Education (LAMPE) composed of five guiding principles. The teaching unit was divided into four meetings and consisted of five specific objectives in a sequential manner and that covered the pedagogical principles of LAMPE. It is concluded that after the experiences in this teaching unit, they are able to prioritize meaningful experiences through Physical Education.
