DOI:
https://doi.org/10.5007/%25xAbstract
The aim of this work is to indicate
the existence of a complex of
different representations concerning
school professional’s formation on
Physical Education in the years of
Brazilian military regime. The work
is based on diverse sources as
teacher’ statements, international
manifests, and minutes of Unions
as well as the debate held by the
Revista Brasileira de Educação Física
e Esportes from 1968 to 1984.
The conclusion is that the interest
on the scientific formation of
teachers was actually a central
problem to those various social
agents who vindicated a higher social
status and appreciation to
Physical Education.
