The juvenilisation of youth and adult education: profile of the young students of Região dos Inconfidentes-MG

The article deals with partial results of the research entitled The juvenilisation of Youth and Adult Education: understanding the phenomenon and seeking alternatives to education in this type of education. Young students of EJA are subject to different school trajectories of those who attend so-called "regular education" because, in many cases, are marked by disruptions, failures, discrimination, discipline and avoidance of the classroom. With this empirical research, we set out to answer the following question: who is the young person under 18 who attends the adult education courses in the region? To answer this question, we draw the main objective know that the profile of the young student of EJA in schools in the municipalities of the Região dos Inconfidentes. The data shows young adults seek regardless of gender EJA, the 1.106 questionnaire applied, 588 are women and 518 are men. Of these 592 have less than 25 years. Of young people under 18 years, 82.3% live with their parents and only 27.1% do not work. It is a very different student profile of the adult worker who attends the EJA rooms and who needs specific public policies to meet the demands of this public.
