Piaget e Chomsky: um encontro histórico para o ensino de línguas

Em primeiro lugar. este artigo destaca do encontro de Royaumont (1975), elementos importantes no campo da aquisição da Linguagem e, por extensão, de uma língua estrangeira. Ele coloca a questão se há incompatibilidade entre o construtivismo de Piaget (Il n'existe pas. chez I'homme. de structures a priori ou innées: seul le frobctiommement de l'intelligence est héréditaire.) e o inativismo de Chomsky ("The ability to from and understand previously unhe ard sentences".). Analisa a postura de Piaget em relação ao "núcleo fixo inato" de Chomsky, e a atitude de Piaget e Chomsky em relação ao empirismo behaviorista. Em segundo lugar, mostra algumas influências (diretas ou indiretas) de Piaget sobre a evolução da pedagogia de línguas: a crítica dos métodos tradicionais de ensino de linguas: os problemas dos métodos chamados 'integrados': o mito das técnicass audio-visuais: a atividade pedagógica centrada no aprendiz: o papel positivo e necessário do erro.
