Research Group, Linguistic Education in Italian language, Brazilian contexAbstract
This article aims to narrate the building process of a young research group, the Núcleo de Estudos em Língua Italiana no contexto Brasileiro (NELIB), registered in the Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). This group was created with the purpose of bringing together teachers and researchers who work in the field of Italian language in the Brazilian context and try to think and ressignify Italian Language Education with our feet firmly planted in our territories, focusing on teacher training, the production of teaching materials, linguistic policies and, consequently, a pedagogy that is more plural, democratic and, therefore, committed to social justice. Because we understand this space as a gathering place of experiences, knowledge and scientific, academic and artistic productions, we will weave in our words what we have been doing to answer the question that guides us – what is the necessary knowledge for teacher’s education in a world in constant transformation? – and what we hope to accomplish in our daily activities that are essential to the development of the work as teachers and researchers of Brazilian public universities. After all, it is important to understand what a research group does and has to say to the world.
