Scientific journals in sharing information and knowledge: partial study results of features of Qualis A electronics journals in Information Science

Scientific journal plays a central role in scientific communication. It became an excellent midia to access, use and produce knowledge. In transition to electronic version, quality has to be assured both in content and layout. This research aims at scientific article features of Qualis A for Information Science. Data analyzed considered the following features of each journal: general information, time life, periodicity, journal presence in indexing mechanism and summary in digital repository; journal sessions; editorial board; layout system; labeling system; search mechanism; contents; usability and types of documents used (html, pdf, etc). Author guideline was also analyzed. All scientific journals researched fulfilled all analyzed features. It is also believed due to visibility all journals have in their online version which increased number of access and use by scientific community. All these facts demanded establishment of high level standards which guarantee scientific journal quality in content and layout system
