Architecture of ideas, Biblion, Book, Document, Paul OtletAbstract
Objective: Understand, from three dimensions, the Otletian understanding of what a book is: material, symbolic and philosophical.
Methods: Documentary bibliographic research, where the Traité de Documentation is the basis for the formulation of the considerations about the thought of Paul Otlet, therefore, our notes start from him and return to him.
Results: The book, as a construct of humanity for Humanity, has its social role, with the constant and incessant accumulation of knowledge and knowledge fixed materially, embodying and incorporating from generation to generation, aiming at the development and progress of different sciences and arts.
Conclusions: The book is not built at random; it needs to be structured according to parameters, in addition, ideas cannot be thrown at will, they also need a structure that reflects the author's intentions, his wishes and his line of thought. In the notion of the architecture of ideas, the author and the reader need to understand that that book is a small part of the universal work, so dear to the Otletian project.
