COMPLEX ORGANIZATIONS FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF INFORMATION, KNOWLEDGE AND INTELLIGENCE

Abstract
Goal: This article aims to reflect on the relationships between complex organizations, information, knowledge and intelligence, as well as the impacts on these relationships. Design½Methodology½Approach: Through bibliographic research it was possible to build reflections on the themes, complex organizations, in addition to information, knowledge and intelligence as organizational resources. Therefore, the components that accredit an organization to be classified as complex were identified. It was assumed that complexity acts as a process and a result. In addition, it sought to understand information, knowledge and intelligence as organizational resources, since they are present inside and outside organizations, in activities, processes and in subjects that relate directly or indirectly to organizations. When considering these organizational resources (information, knowledge and intelligence), it becomes important to understand whether these resources enhance or reduce complexity in organizations. Results: When organizations adopt a management model, parameters, activities or strategies to work with knowledge and intelligence, aligning the understanding of complexity as a process and/or result, they are able to generate competitive advantage. Originality½Value: This research did not seek to exhaust the reflection on the topics addressed and related, but rather to contribute and build new perspectives as presented.
