About the Journal

The Perspectiva journal, established in 1983, is a publication of the Center for Educational Sciences at UFSC, which aims to disseminate academic production on education and the theoretical and critical deepening of themes and advances in discussions on issues in the educational field and research produced in Brazil and abroad.

Perspectiva publishes national and international texts that focus on education, especially those resulting from completed research, of a theoretical or empirical nature, that present contributions on hot topics in the area.

Qualis A1 (2021-2024)

From 2021 onwards, the journal will adopt the continuous flow publication modality, with four open issues simultaneously, which receive the articles as soon as they are accepted and diagrammed.

Suspensão temporária das atividades editoriais

2026-04-23

Perspectiva Journal informs the scientific community that its editorial activities — including the submission of manuscripts and the publication of new articles — are partially suspended.

The suspension is a result of the strike by Education Technical-Administrative Staff (TAEs) at federal educational institutions, a legitimate movement in defence of better working conditions, career recognition, and the strengthening of public education.

The editorial board of this journal expresses solidarity with the just struggle of the TAEs and acknowledges the fundamental role these workers play in the functioning of federal universities and institutes, and therefore in the very existence of the science we publish here.

Activities will resume as soon as institutional conditions allow. Authors with submissions in progress will be notified in due course about the status of their manuscripts.

We thank the scientific community for its understanding and reaffirm our commitment to public, free, and high-quality science.
