Abstract

The objective of this paper is to debate, based on socialist authors and on current researches about cooperative work, both the limits that this kind of work organization can break through its relationship with capital, that is accomplished by market, and the cooperative work potentiality to revolutionize the social relationships. It develops, mainly, the analysis about cooperative associations of family farmers, MST settled and not settled farmers. Something new is pointed out by the research: the relationship between the cooperative work and the school basic and professional education, or, more exactly, the need of thinking that values, knowledge, study and practices will take part of the curriculum of courses that has the objective of forming autonomous, cooperative and solidary people.
