DOI:
https://doi.org/10.5007/%25xAbstract
The purpose of this text is to analyze
Brazilian ruralism in the 1940s as it
was expressed in the activities of the
School Agricultural Clubs. The paper
is based on the results of
bibliographic research of legislation
and principally school documents,
with Santa Catarina State as the
main focus of analysis. The
objectives, operations and
relationship of the Agricultural Clubs
with the Ministry of Agriculture and
state government were studied as
part of the process of establishing
disciplinary power. The study also
analyzes the thinking of Alberto
Torres as someone who provided
ideological support for the Clubs.
