The decolonial perspectives aim to incite an inside look at Latin America, far from Eurocentric and American ideals and hegemonies, in communication with critical and emancipatory pedagogy. The intent of this article is to reflect on some artistic initiatives and cultural projects, in different languages and esthetics, which awake to the appreciation, recognition, and strengthening of Latin American own expressions. Besides discussing the decolonial and emancipatory perspectives, the text intends to dialogue about the implications originating from technological devices and their relationship with informal education, as well as mass culture and its contact with artistic practices and popular education. Conclusively, it was possible to see how different epistemic and cultural knowledge is articulated, and how rich the artistic representations and meanings in Latin America are in their intersection with social contexts.
