Education and Resistance in the Writings of Women-Authors in the magazine A Violeta

The periodical press in the early years of the 20th century was an important space for intellectual effervescence and for the fight for women's rights, such as education and voting. In this sense, this essay/article aims to analyze the education project in the writings of in female authorship literature published in the magazine A Violeta, during 1916 to 1950, despite being submited to hegemonic patriarchal structure reverberated in a protofeminist context in Mato Grosso. This documentary essay/article has the Cultural History as a theoretical-methodological reference based on Chartier's perspective. The texts analyzed showed a space of political movement in the textual apparatus available, which established a discourse in which they sometimes used a possible feminism and sometimes resisted to it.
