Abstract

It presents the questions related to the librarians and the independent professionals in information in the context of the Brazilian Classification of Occupations (CBO 2002). It presents a description of the CBO and demonstrates that contemplated the independent professionals not form in this new CBO, and if of a side the universities try to form professionals with characteristics that the market demands, the legislation were not modified.
