This paper reports the transformation of a student after having participated in a play which was used as a strategy to address some Physics knowledge. The play was organized by a teacher who had attended a continuing education course, which aimed to highlight the importance of recognizing the respective teaching skills through a proactive approach and enabled the development of the teacher’s autonomy and the appreciation of daily work experience. Starting from studies of Rosenthal and Jacobson, we attempted to understand how the student, initially blocked by the expectations of social actors and stigmatized by negative labels developed in school environment, found himself pushed to get rid of that stigma through a theatrical performance. The discovery of this unique case shows the possibility of a complete metamorphosis in students considered as incapable and/or uninterested. They can discover, through theater, their inner potential and the fascination derived from scientific knowledge.Downloads
