This theoretical study seeks to highlight aspects of childhood, present in the work of Benjamin, from the idea of threshold. We meet with her in places of thought where the philosopher pauses, with acuity, about the importance of threshold zones and places of passage for an experience with the modern. Such places of thought signal and indicate marks that contribute to give infancy its modernity, as well as, way to think the senses of childhood in the present time. Based on this premise, our hypothesis is that the idea of childhood is crossed by important conceptual and imaginary nuclei in the author's work as a mobilizing force, both of these concepts and of the idea of childhood. We believe, therefore, that we have found signs of a spark of thought that plays with the notions that form the image of childhood in which the author speaks. And it is precisely this "philosophical play" which brings the notion of childhood from which Benjamin treats of dense ideas and concepts important in his reflections as the notion of threshold.
