Does Foucault revolutionize educational researches?

The aim of this article is to discuss some of the possible contributions of Michel Foucault´s work to educational researches taking as a reference the most recent investigations on the subject. The argument is that Foucault offers a number of “methodological attitudes” like: the understanding of language and discourse as locus of permanent struggles; the dealing with facts and statements as “rarities” and not as obviousness; the attention to discoursive and no-discoursive practices as basic data of investigation; and finally, the attitude of doubt and the eceptiveness to unexpected events.Downloads
