Abstract

This paper points out the Role Playing Game – RPG – as a tool for the socialization of knowledge in the organizations. It analyses the different meanings and uses of knowledge throughout history, clarifying its importance in the world of work, particularly at the end of XXth Century and in the beginning of XXIst Century. It describes the characteristics of the game and the possibilities of using it in sharing knowledge, emotions, beliefs and values. By sharing adventures and situations, the players also share feelings which result from it, as say, emotions which are perceptible, although not expressed, and all the team work can be improved by the mutual insights of the members of the group. It points the methodological steps necessary to adapt the RPG as a tool to make the conversion of tacit knowledge of the organizartions easier.
