Service of reference online in the libraries online of the Northeast area

It identifies the libraries online of the Northeast Area of Brazil diagnosing the service of reference online and its operation structure. It highlights the types of libraries and the paper of librarie online as guide the remote users' of the Internet, through the attendance by mail electronic. It stands out the Service of Reference Online as a service that allows the interaction among information-librarian-user in the electronic atmosphere. Has as methodology a qualitative study, accomplished through the observation of the sites of the Biblioteca Central Reitor Macedo Costa (Bahia), Biblioteca Temática do Empreendedor - SEBRAE (Paraíba), Sistema de Bibliotecas da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (Paraíba) and Biblioteca da Universidade de Fortaleza - Unifor (Ceará) and of the information collected starting from a questionnaire answered by the responsible persons by those libraries. The results aim the presence of the reference service and of the librarian in the first two libraries online and just of the librarian in two o'clock last. It confirms the fact that in the libraries online of the Northeast. Area the services of reference online are winning space and using the technological tools, with prominence for the electronic mail. It fortifies the affirmation that these libraries need the use of the new technologies, in order to take care of to the requests of the remote users with efficiency and precision. It contributes for the analysis and future implantations of reference services online and to rethink it of the paper of the service in the libraries online.Downloads
