Repositório institucional como sistema técnico-social: composição, ambiente e estrutura

Repositórios institucionais (RIs) são sistemas de informação técnico-sociais que emergem como estratégia do movimento de acesso livre para comunicação científica. O potencial dos RIs ainda é tema de intensa discussão na literatura da área, o que leva à pergunta desta pesquisa: como entender um RI de forma abrangente, não fragmentada? O objetivo foi o de construir uma descrição sistêmica de um RI, caracterizando seus elementos: componentes, itens do entorno e ligações estruturantes. Os procedimentos metodológicos tratam da abstração desses elementos a partir de revisão da literatura e entrevistas com peritos, orientadas pelo modelo de sistema composição-ambiente-estrutura-mecanismo (CESM) de Bunge. É uma pesquisa descritiva e exploratória com abordagem ontológica a partir da filosofia sistêmica de Mario Bunge. Como resultado, apresenta-se a síntese de um modelo de RI genérico, consolidado a partir de modelos parciais relativos aos textos fontes analisados e refinado a partir das entrevistas. O modelo CESM resultante postula-se como uma representação abrangente de RI, que pode favorecer novas pesquisas sobre mecanismos dos RIs – os processos que promovem ou obstruem seu funcionamento.Downloads
