Between denialisms and the enthronement of science: epistemology as a field of possibilities for university formation (in the field of Physical Education)

The main objective of this text is to present a reflection on complex elements that are intensely placed in our times: the enthronement of science and the production of negationist narratives. I work with the idea that epistemology can be a crucial role in the possibility of qualifying university formation, enhancing our ability to face, on the one side, the enthronement of the sciences and, on the other side, negationism without minimally plausible scientific foundation. The text subdivide in three moments. In the first, I try to approach the paradox that we live in contemporaneity, in which the production of life takes place between denialisms and scientisms. In the second, I try to highlight contributions that epistemology could bring, taking the discussion to the scope of university formation. Finally, I present nexus of this discussion with Physical Education, a field of knowledge that is still recent, in the affirmation phase in the spectre scientific-academic contemporary.
