Filosofia da educação: para quê?

This study intents to reflect on the comtemporary reasons to
justify the Philosophy of Education. What is it good for? 8ased on Adorno's ideas, it recapitulates some historical characteristics of Philosophy, such as: autonomous thinking as the first instrument for the espiritual formation; reason can only superate the bourgois reason if it is negative reason again; Philosophy will regain the construction of its concept if it
opposes itself as useless for the market and contemplates it critically from its inside; if ít again believes in the potentiality of the concept, its only instrument for intervention; if it searches its differente view in the force of the esthetics; if it iIIuminates the contradictions of reality by using the Iights of utopy. Deep understanding of the force that historically constitutes Philosophy is unavoidable pressuposition to reflections on the educational problems nowadays.
