The recent debates about professional's formation to work
with the early childhood education aim a tendency for the proposition of specific courses in initial formation - most often at the high scnoolleveland at programs of continued formation for those who are already in activity and doesn't present an appropriate qualification. However, the search for courses of educators' in the area of the early childhood education, at the undergraduate and graduate levei (specialization) is
also a reality. Would the University have contribuitions tos this goal? In what felt? Working with the principie of the constitutional right of Brazilian children to a quality education, this alticle opens a discussion about these questions. I thus seeks to outline contributions and indicate possibilities, given thatthe complex reality lhat involves children's education
in the different regions ofthe country demands diversified alternatives
