For an education for oneself: some refl ections on pedagogic work

Abstract

The objective of this article is to refl ect on the elements that confi gure what we customarily denominate an education for oneself. It indicates the importance of intentional and ystematized pedagogical work, capable of contributing to the broad development of the child in preschool and the initial years of Elementary School, discussing some principles fundamental to the teaching activity. Based on a Historic-Cultural perspective, for which human development is the result of the educational process that is confi gured in social relations, the paper refl ects on the specifi cities of school education, seeking to elucidate how education for oneself interacts with the daily and nondaily realms of social activity.
